It is a colorless, clear, odorless and fatty oral solution containing minimum 99% Acetylbutylate per 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Timpasol Oral Solution, tympani and foamy this formulation for the treatment of rumen bloating contains the defoaming agent Acetbutylate. The drug can be administered directly to animals or injected into the rumen.
Tympani is a disease of ruminants characterized by excessive gas accumulation in the rumen and reticulum due to excessive intake of carbohydrate and protein rich feeds. Acetbutylate is a synthetic polymerized silicone derivative and is an inhibitor of the enzyme pectin methyl esterase in fresh plants that causes tympani formation. Even at low concentrations, it spreads rapidly in the rumen, changing the surface pressure, preventing foam formation and removing foam that has already formed.
Because of the surface tension increasing activity in foamy rumen bloating of ruminants, it causes rapid bursting of the formed foams and release of trapped gases, thus reducing abdominal pressure. When its pharmacological activity is based on decreasing surface tension in liquids, when given in doses proportional to the size of foaming, the defoaming effect develops in a short period that can be measured in minutes.
AREA OF USE / INDICATIONS
It is used for treatment of tympany with or without gas in the cattle, sheep and goat.
It should be administered at following doses orally or intra-ruminally for tympanis in the cattle, sheep and goat.
Cattle : 20-30 ml,
Sheep and goat : 5-10 ml
Mixing it with some water before use will facilitate the application.
When the veterinarian deems necessary, the application is repeated after 6-10 hours. As a result of the application, the gas accumulated in the rumen and reticulum is expected to be expelled by burping. However, if there is any malfunction in the burping mechanism, it will be necessary to remove the accumulated gas with the help of a catheter.
DISPOSAL AFTER USE AND WARNINGS FOR NON-TARGET SPECIES
It is toxic for aquatic organisms. It should be avoided contamination with water sources.
No side effect is expected if labeling instructions are followed.
It is not compatible with oxidizing agents.
SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSE, PRECAUTIONS AND ANTIDOTE
There is no side effect, if it is administered at recommended dose range. Toxicity of actybutylate is low and LD50 in rats and mouse is found as 31.4 g/kg body weight.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY THE ADMINISTRATOR AND WARNINGS FOR VETERINARY SURGEON
Avoid contact with the medication and wash your hands after use. Contact with skin will not cause irritation.
Contact with eye may cause irritation. Wash with plenty of water in case of contact with eyes.
Protect from the light. Store at room temperature (15-25ºC). Shelf life is 2 years.
