HISTORY

1986
Vilsan was founded in Ankara under the name Vetsan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Industry and Trade Limited Company. In its early years, it began offering solutions for the local market in veterinary pharmaceutical production and quickly solidified its position in the sector. The company's name was later changed to Vilsan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Industry and Trade Limited Company.

1997
Vilsan began producing its own products at its Ankara production facility. During this period, the company took a significant step in producing veterinary pharmaceuticals for the local market and made investments to increase its production capacity.

2005
In addition to cattle products, Vilsan began producing poultry products, diversifying its product range. This step strengthened Vilsan's position in the sector and enabled it to meet expanding market demands.

2007
Vilsan began exporting as the first company to develop and produce products for fisheries. With its product, Primavilin Aqua, it became a pioneer in the aquaculture sector and took the first step toward expanding into the global market.

2010
Vilsan entered the global arena with its veterinary pharmaceuticals. It began exporting to regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, and the Far East, establishing itself in the global market. During this period, the company's production processes were improved to meet international quality standards.

2013
Vilsan was awarded the title of Turkey's largest veterinary pharmaceutical exporter, solidifying its leadership in the sector. By adding new export destinations, it gained a larger market share in the global market.

2014
Vilsan was acquired by Vimar Animal Health, and this merger further increased its production capacity and brand strength. The company continued to maintain its leadership in the sector.

2015
Vilsan underwent a major modernization of its facilities to meet higher GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. New production lines, more efficient production processes, and quality control systems enhanced the company's international competitiveness.

2017
Vilsan was acquired by one of the world's largest global pharmaceutical manufacturers on December 8, 2017. With this merger, Vilsan gained greater global production and distribution power, expanding its market share and becoming one of the strongest players in the sector.

2018
Vilsan invested in the global production integration of its facility, further improving its production processes. This integration has enabled Vilsan to become a stronger player in global markets.

2024
Vilsan was acquired by Hasvet Group on July 30, 2024. This strategic acquisition allowed Hasvet to establish a strong structure across two main segments in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Vilsan's strong heritage and experience in veterinary pharmaceutical production were combined with Hasvet Pharma's global goals. Vilsan's high-quality raw materials, modern production technology, and Hasvet Pharma's sterile production experience continue to support veterinarians in their clinical practices and export to more than 25 countries.

2025:

Vilsan acquired Hasvet A.Ş. After being acquired by the company, it quickly restructured, started to establish field and marketing teams, and started to actively visit and promote veterinary clinics, institutions and businesses with its experience, knowledge and field expertise from the past.
